Calendar

The Soundscape Program runs throughout each year at the centre. Generally we follow the 4 School Terms with one weeks break in between each term. Our First Term begins in February once the children are placed and settled in their rooms for the new year. Please note replacement studio sessions are not available if your child misses studio sessions for late arrival, holidays or absence.

This calendar will also include Soundscape Program events that will occur throughout the year. Community music events (ones inwhich the centre has no involvement) that may be of interest to families will also be posted.

Term 1 : 14th February - 15th April

Term 2: 26 April - 8th July

Term 3: 18th July - 30th September

Term 4: 10th October - 23rd December

Soundscape Events

Towards the end of the first Term of 2011 we are planning a violin concert. These concerts are held for small numbers of children that are particularly interested in the instrument. The violin will be our "Instrument of Interest" in Term 1. If you play an instrument and would like to provide a concert please let Liz know.

Community Events


  • National Multicultural Festival - 11 February - 13th February

A wonderful opportunity to share in the excitement of music, dance and culture across many countries. Particularly attractive for young children are the Wiradjuri Echoes dance group, the Los Chavos Latin band,the Sydney Balalaika Orchestra, Sacred Circus and The Brothers 3! Attending the festival the children will see a range of interesting instruments being played and see wonderful costumes!
